THE GOLDEN
GLOBES FOR THE BEST OF 2004...A PICTURE PUZZLEMENT!
It would take a master detective
to figure out who the 83 freelance and full-time journalists in
control of Hollywood's Foreign Press Association actually are. Nor
can anyone I know explain how Annette Bening, Emily Rossum, Kate
Winslet, Renee Zellweger and Ashley Judd (!) ended up competing
for the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy category (and never
mind that Jamie Foxx's powerful dramatic performance in "Ray"
was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy).
Yet people in the industry
take the Globes very seriously, so who am I to kvetch? Here are
